We’re looking for a Commodity Manager who enjoys working with suppliers, solving sourcing challenges, and helping keep critical materials moving. In this role, you’ll support sourcing and purchasing activities within an electronics/PCBA environment while developing your expertise in category management. You’ll work across day-to-day supply needs and longer-term sourcing priorities, building the skills and supplier relationships that support HED’s operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies to support cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Manage sourcing decisions, cost negotiations, and supplier performance for assigned categories.
- Drive continuous improvement in pricing, lead times, and supply assurance.
- Partner with engineering on new product development (NPD) for component and assembly sourcing.
- Identify alternate sources for critical or obsolete electronic components.
- Support make/buy decisions and cost-modeling for electronics assemblies.
- Collaborate with planning, quality, and engineering to resolve material issues.
- Maintain supplier scorecards and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
Focus Areas
- Category ownership and supplier performance accountability.
- Integration of sourcing strategies with company SIOP and NPI processes.
- Process efficiencies within department
- Building cross-functional alignment with Engineering and Operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management.
Experience and/or Training
- Minimum of 7-10 years of related experience
- Comprehensive understanding of integrated supply chain management including principles, methods, and practices related to procurement.
- Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with diverse groups of people.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to exercise judgment and make critical decisions.
- Thorough understanding of how to select and build appropriate supply strategies based on operational needs (current and future).
- Highly committed team player, flexible, and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Microsoft literate (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Fluent in English
- Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally as required up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of PCBA assemblies, component lifecycle management, and electronics market trends.
- Intermediate to advanced cost analysis skills (should-cost modeling, TCO analysis).
- Familiarity with supply-chain risk management, including lead-time variability and part obsolescence.
- Effective negotiation and contract management capabilities.
- Data-driven decision-making using ERP and spend analytics tools.

Work is performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
