- Power management (conversion, distribution, protection, sequencing)
- Embedded control systems and microcontroller-based designs
- Sensor and actuator interfaces
- High-speed memory subsystems (DDR design and layout considerations)
- Display/HMI systems (LCD selection, integration, and interface design)
- Oversee schematic capture and guide PCB layout with focus on signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal performance
- Apply DFM, DFT, and DFR best practices
- Ensure designs meet applicable automotive/off-highway standards (ISO 16750, ISO 7637, CISPR 25, etc.).
- Plan and support electrical compliance testing, including
- CAN network robustness and validation
- USB compliance and interoperability
- Ethernet performance and signal integrity
- Develop and execute validation plans (bench, EMC, environmental, and vehicle-level testing)
- Lead system bring-up, debugging, and integration activities
- Perform root cause analysis using structured methods (8D, 5-Why) and implement corrective actions
- Work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Partner with suppliers for key components such as processors, DDR memory, displays, and power devices
- Support production launch, pilot builds, and manufacturing optimization
- Lead design reviews and contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across key domains
- Provide technical input for RFQs, including estimates and risk assessments
